Unfortunately you guys all got it wrong.  8) The sailing stones are way cooler! (things are not always as they appear) - PS: Go see them! I loved reading about the mystery in 2013 (unsolved) then reading they solved it, and then seeing them. Quite a treat.

I also vote for #1, the sky is gorgeous and the there's plenty of texture.

I've looked at #2 a couple of times and it looks like the trail goes on beyond the rock.  It keeps catching my eye.  However it is a nice shot.

It very likely does, they often change directions, in this case it was likely the ice sheet pushed the rock and then settled back as a surge happened causing a reverse ripple or something of this nature.
