B&W Conversion
« on: April 22, 2006, 06:58:55 pm »

This picture was taken with slide film. I processed it twice in Photoshop. Once for the sky and once for the pyramid. Then I merged them together.
What do you think, and what could I do to improve it.
Thank you

I thought the first version was a bit flat, so I changed it.  What do you think?

The first one is flat, I agree.  There are parts of the second one that I like better but I don't really like what it is doing to parts of the pyramid.  Should be a nice image with the right conversion.  Maybe blend the two conversions to take the edge off?  What does the color version look like?

The first version was a bit flat, but the contrast has obscured interesting detail in the second one--I would work on finding some middle ground with smoother tonalities but more contrast.
