That’s why prisons decided to use a numbering system.

Jailhouse Rock comes to mind. However, though numbers are quoted, so are nicknames. Interesting times, them wuz.

Aah America is waking up from this Trump nightmare! They choose latino, black, women,  muslim, gay person... all winning democrats!
According to Trump, he is not too blame ... but even he cannot deny the election result this time...
Let's see how the Republicans will follow Trump in the second halve of his term, now he has lost all the magic.

Democracies are slow to stir. The cost of living and the economy fried a lot of bacon.
The contest was the easy part. Now to govern and address the issues at hand.
That will be the measure of the change.

Took 10 or so years and 2 elections to learn that Trump didn’t have a clue. So, I'm not optimistic.

There’s going to be a long line-up of people with cash trying to buy pardons in his remaining two years.

He is going to get bored with the east wing and the reflecting pool. He is already bored with the Iran war.

I just saw a headline where Trump blamed FOX news and the GOP candidates. Too bad you can't just him tell to shut up, already.

What is most satisfying is that Musk wasted his money.

A friend just pointed out that although Trump was not able to effect regime change in Iran, he was able to do so in Texas.

Good point!
At least he's focused on the big problems:

I watched part of that. He's not playing with a full deck.

At this point, he's just holding the empty box.

Dangerous… there exists such an animal as the sympathy vote.

Smug is a double-edged sword. A major problem is that the Democrats appear to lack a charismatic leader of their own. In this day and age that‘s a serious problem that requires a photogenic, smooth-talking person to come to the pulpit and tell the message, once somebody decides what that message might be. A protest vote is not the same thing as a positive vote for something else…

It isn't, but it can be effective; given how many Americans don't vote, it can be useful.
I keep hearing many Republicans say something to the effect "The Dems didn't win or get votes; the votes were against Trump". All while Trump tells his base the Republicans lost because he wasn't on the ballot. Whatever, there was a blue tsunami; a pile of Trump sycophants is out of a job next year. I'm ecstatic with those results.

I’m sure that much of the world is ecstatic too; he’s been pretty much nothing but a troublemaker, starting stuff he can’t finish and costing normal people a helluva lot of money in the process. That said, there’s sure to be a clique that’s done extremely well for its bank accounts from all of this mess; I had to fill the tank with diesel yesterday, and it was not a happy experience for the credit card. When I think of all of the international bother he’s brought about with his sanctions and added taxes on imports from Europe, there are plenty of people who will be looking forward to his departure and a return to sensible trading between ‘friendly’ countries! That said, I don’t expect to see camera and lens prices come down: there are shortage factors out there that make production difficult, and as far as I can tell, those are driven by things other than sanctions.

I have stayed out of this, and, despite my misgivings, here goes!

A prediction.

1. There will be no elections in the USA.
     a) Here’s why: Trump knows that if any vote goes against him and the Republicans lose their majority, his life will be hell (and all those around him). The stealing, fraud and corruption….
     b) He has got nothing to lose if he declares some or other “emergency” to suspend elections and he has the second largest funded military force in the world (ICE) backing him up. Chasing immigrants around the cities was their training...
     c) This new scheme $1.8 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund is to show his gangs/militias/private army that he will reward them. This is a "down payment" on future uprisings. He will make a few token payments and pocket the rest…

He has purged all those who might have stood in his way and and he breaks the law daily with impunity - again, no-one knows better than him all the crime he is committing, so, why would he meekly give in to a certain election loss?

I feel so sorry for those Americans who voted against him (those who abstained are as responsible as those who voted for him) - I hope I am wrong in all of this!

Thnakfully it looks like I was wrong!!
