Slobodan was right. He was talking about mail-in, not dropoff.
As I said, untill he was incorrect. Mail in ballots can be dropped off. Long after they can be mailed (on election day sir). And some, again, have gone out of their way to make it harder because they want less people to vote. Ask yourself
why that is.
Regarding drop-off, you bolded " only one drop off" then went on to confuse the readers with more than one, but it's really one for each county of which there are a couple of hundred or so in Texas. So your statement was incorrect or confusing at a minimum.
You were confused, I get that.
Each county has a county seat building where the dropoff can be manned at no additional cost.
Got nothing to do with cost. It has to do with access. Some people believe it or not, can't drive or have cars or can't get a bus to some obscure by design location.
To set up manned voting locations elsewhere would be very expensive.
They don't have to be manned. They have to be secure boxes that are easy to get to. That wasn't the case. By design!
I would think that many large election districts are republican since they are rural. So republicans would have to drive long distances to drop off their votes too at the one drop off point in their county. So it kind of evens out.
Another assumption of course and it's moot. Either party should have easy access to vote and get their votes counted. ONE party believes in that approach. One doesn't much by results of their actions.
