That's right, they have no direct vote in electing the PM. The PM is a fundamentally different position than that of a President. This is the third time I state this. Will you twist its meaning again? Why do you insist on comparing apples to oranges in a non-existent competition.

You stick to your "messaging" more stubbornly than most politicians running for office. You should run for office.

So the leader of Great Britain isn't elected.  So how is America's system less democratic as many non-Americans here have claimed?

I don't waste my time watching much of the hearings because the Democrats are running it.

GOOD GAWD!

You need...

• a remedial course in civics
• a clue about your behavior and tendencies

I DID NOT SAT THAT! I simply didn't talk about Trump specifically. I only wrote about the committee hearings generally.

I didn't say anything about Trump... period. STOP PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH!!
JUST STOP QUOTING ME. Stop!!
That's not what you inferred.

First off, The Jan 6th hearings are all about Trump, the former president. If Trump didn't do anything illegal, most people don't care a fig about the other bit players.

A simple question.,  Did Trump do anything illegal and if so what was it?

Yes.
Ok so I have a question.  During regular elections in GB, or other parliamentary systems, how do you vote for a specific candidate who's running for PM?  Do you vote for your local MP who says he'll vote for a particular candidate if you elect him or her?  Or is there another method?

In America, you don't vote directly for the president.  You vote for their elector in the state you reside in.  So the ballot you check off would look like this at least in New York City:  Notice the left column.

I;m asking a serious question.  I don't know how people vote in parliamentary systems.  My last post shows how we vote in America.  I wouldn't be wasting my time showing this if I wasn't interested.

Notice how we vote for the Elector not the presidential candidate directly.  So do your voters similarly vote for the MP who promises to vote for the candidate they want as PM?  Or is there another method?

I'm asking for explanations of how parliaments are more democratic than the federal republic system we have?
Major troll bait.

Biden finally acknowledges Trump did something right.  Even CNN says so.  He must be getting desperate to get public acceptance of one of his policies.  Maybe he'll start drilling again for oil.

Biden embraces a signature Trump achievement on first trip to the Middle East, aiming to bring Israel and Saudi Arabia closer

 —
As President Joe Biden arrived here on Wednesday, he is doing something he has never done on a foreign trip: Embracing one of his predecessor’s legacy achievements.
While much of his foreign travel in his first 18 months in office has focused on reversing the foreign policy of former President Donald Trump and shoring up battered alliances, Biden on his first trip to the Middle East will embrace the Trump-era Abraham Accords that normalized relations between Israel and several Arab countries and pursue an expansion of growing Arab-Israeli security and economic ties.

That's not what you inferred.

First off...

First off... You have demonstrated repeatedly and proven beyond any kind of doubt that you lack any of the neccessary capacities or skills to make inferences which are reasoned or reasonable by any measure. And if you should ever manage to acquire any capacity or skill to make inferences, you would still lack the integrity to do so reliably.

I know that you don't understand a word of what I just said and I don't give a damn.

I don't remember ever encountering anyone so unable and unwilling to comprehend what they see and hear. Now, I've met people who were unable and I've met people who were unwilling, but the combination of both — that is rare! Combine that with a complete lack of self-awareness and you have something exceedingly rare — thankfully!

The eyes being covered, the ears being plugged, and the mind being closed doesn't prevent the mouth from being open for business at any time — unfortunately.

Apparently, you have it wrong.

No, I don’t.

You asked a simple question , I gave you a succinct (and correct) reply.
Whether that evidence, if ever presented to a criminal court, will result in a conviction (aka ‘guilty’ in your jargon) is impossible to say for certain before the trial and until a verdict is handed down.

Don’t fool yourself into believing that yours is a ‘debate’. It is not. It is obfuscation on an industrial scale. Frankly, if you carry on in this vein, you’ll only cement the idea that ‘one man, one vote’ is a seriously flawed concept.

Goodnight and good luck.

The evidence, so far, resides in the witness statements and their testimony.

The smoking gun evidence that a Georgia grand jury is currently considering, along with other evidence, is the recording of his threatening Georgia state officials and attempt at coercing them to commit election fraud among other potential crimes. There is a mountain of other evidence being collected from and about other major players in the fraudulent attempts to overturn the election and the incitement of an insurrection which may or may not implicate him in additional criminal activities or conspiracy to commit crimes.

Georgia grand jury subpoenas top Trump allies, including Giuliani and Eastman

July 5, 2022 - NPR - Stephen Fowler

A special grand jury in Georgia has issued subpoenas to some of the key figures associated with former President Donald Trump's failed efforts to reverse his narrow defeat, as a wide-ranging investigation into possible criminal interference ratchets up.

Those summoned by the seven subpoenas approved Tuesday include Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal attorney; John Eastman, the former Trump lawyer who told Georgia lawmakers they had a "duty" to submit alternate electors; Cleta Mitchell, who was on the infamous 2021 call with Georgia's Secretary of State where Trump wanted to "find" votes; and others who guided attempts to subvert election results.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham has also been subpoenaed in relation to phone calls he made with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger regarding absentee ballot rejections, according to the filings.

A 23-person special grand jury has been meeting since May to determine what, if any, state laws were broken in the months-long attempt to undo President Joe Biden's roughly 12,000-vote victory over then-President Trump, including potential crimes like "the solicitation of election fraud, making of false statements to state and local governmental bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office" and other disruptions to the election.

Recent witness testimony includes Raffensperger, Democratic attorney general nominee and state Sen. Jen Jordan and Democratic secretary of state nominee Rep. Bee Nguyen.

Tuesday's court filings shed light on the potential direction of the investigation into crimes related to Trump's obsession with Georgia in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election. That interest was fueled by a variety of figures who provided dubious legal justifications for undoing his defeat, including Giuliani and Eastman.

Senator Graham ordered to testify in front of grand jury in Trump election probe

July 11, 2022 - By Kanishka Singh (Reuters)

A judge ordered U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham to testify in front of a special grand jury in Georgia investigating former President Donald Trump's alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ordered that Graham will be required to testify on Aug. 2. The judge's certification filed on Monday described Graham as a "necessary and material witness" to the grand jury probe. The development was reported earlier by WSB-TV.

Graham's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The senator's attorneys said last week he would not comply with a subpoena issued by the grand jury.

The grand jury also subpoenaed members of Trump's former legal team, including personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis had requested the special jury in January in part due to its subpoena power, which she argued was needed to compel witness testimony.

The probe was launched after Trump was recorded in a Jan. 2, 2021, phone call pressuring Georgia's secretary of state to overturn the state's election results based on unfounded claims of voter fraud.

During the phone call, Trump urged Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a fellow Republican, to "find" enough votes to overturn his Georgia loss to Democrat Joe Biden.

The transcript of the call quotes Trump telling Raffensperger: "I just want to find 11,780 votes," which is the number Trump needed to win Georgia.

Trump has denied wrongdoing in the phone call.

Legal experts have said Trump's phone calls may have violated at least three state election laws: conspiracy to commit election fraud, criminal solicitation to commit election fraud and intentional interference with performance of election duties.
