As an abstract for some reason I like the second, the lack of sharpness makes it seem intentional. If anything I might push the oil painting effect a little further if that's what you're after.

+1. I like the idea of pushing the oil painting effect a bit more. I think the result could be really nice.

My thoughts were the reverse of the others. possibly overdone? You should state your intentions or the reaction to your images will leave people perplexed with respect to what you want to achieve?
