Options for Simple Website for Image Delivery
« on: March 18, 2015, 06:40:14 pm »

I need to build a website that allows event attendees to easily download photographs of themselves in front of a step & repeat. The site does not need to be live at the event (though if there is an easy, simple and cheap way to do so I'm all ears); turnaround will be 48 hours.

I was thinking of using Lightroom's web module to build a simple index of a grid of images and then captioning the individual images with a link to download the hi-res. That seems straightforward and simple in terms of both creation and end user interface. Delivery of hi-res to the client will be via DropBox, so the links can point straight to these files.

Might there be a CMS or service that would be simpler that I'm not thinking of? Any pitfalls I'm missing with my current plan?

Thanks in advance.

Given that the functionality you want is needed by lots of people, my guess is that Flickr and other photo sharing services would have it already built in.
