I bought one on Ebay. It's an L-plate that includes a small grip on the right which really helps when landholding the camera.

I have one.  I think I first saw this on a Lula article by Mike.   Here's the contents of an email.  I couldn't get the link to work but posted it in the event it's blocked at my office.

Basic grip $115 with full length base same length as camera
Combo grip/L-plate: $140

Add $20 s&h domestic, $40 international

Fits Sigma Merrill DP1,2 cameras using camera tripod socket with captive screw
Finely finished aluminum. black anodized, textured surface on grip portion;
Battery compartment is accessible
Arca-style grooves on base and L-plate for tripod mounting
Index marks indicating lens centerline on base and L-plate
ΒΌ-20 tripod threads, lens centered, on base and L-plate
Allen keys supplied
Weights: Basic grip, full-length Basic grip is 90 g, Combo 120g
Camera will rest without tipping on the bases
Full length plate (basic) is same length as camera base
L-plate can be removed (two screws).

I bought one off of ebay for my DP3 Merrill, it comes with a handgrip as well and it works very well. For the DP2 Quattro I used a generic l-plate and have cut out a small chunk in the short side to allow easier access to the memory card.
