And while sometimes frustrating, Photoshop is much more fun than threading things on string.

Here are more of mine, including a reworking of the stump with dog, to give the dog a bit of shadow.

Here is an image with a tweak to bring out the spirit of the rock.

In ChestnutHillReservoir, for me, the two ground segments and the "shadow" figure work well together and look cool.

I'd like to revive this thread, which I think got interesting contributions four years ago.
Again, I invite others to show their own creations, imaginary worlds assembled from "real" components somehow or other.
One of these is a new variant of one I posted before, and the others I think I haven't posted.

Enjoy.

Eric, really like your black and white creations. Especially the falling rock.
Here are a couple that I was inspired to work on.

Not quite what you had in mind Eric, but it is creative.

I like these, John.
They have a plausibility that makes me imagine them as possibly "straight" photos.

Thanks Eric. The flower image is a straight image with blur applied to the area around the flower. I think it works really well because the bokeh was there to begin with.

Niagara at blossom time. It's a sight to behold. Try never to miss it.

We have lift off and freedom. I saw this composition when I was visiting the dentist. The birds were circling and immediately this idea came to me. I had the composition nailed, the feeling of breaking out, while the buildings and solid shapes were trying to pull the subject back. But this guy wouldn't cooperate.  And you know the rest. That's why it's a creation.

A composite of three images taken from a workshop where we learned to mix and composite images of texture and patterns with other straight images.
