Portraiture C&C
« on: December 28, 2014, 08:36:55 pm »

I have been viewing the Creativelive, Scott Robert Lim, Advanced Lighting techniques course. Over Christmas I had a chance to use my nieces for models and do some portraiture using a video light and off-camera flash. Comments on the following three images would be appreciated.

The two single-person portraits were done with just the videolight. The group shot used the video light and low powered bounce flash in front and to the other side of the subjects. All images were taken with a micro four-thirds camera with a Takumar 50mm lens at f2.0.

I really enjoy using old primes on my m4/3 camera. There's something about having to choose your aperture and actually focusing your camera that makes it so much more like... like... PHOTOGRAPHY!
