How Kind, Thank you Jim.  It is probably my favorite image ever, but because of what I was feeling emotionally that afternoon when I realized the tree and I were actually living the same life.

Here is one I shot last week with my new Fuji GFX 50s and their 23mm lens.
I was going after a painterly feel to the image and I'm comfortable with what I got.
Titled "Paths I've walked #1".

In the 300dpi file, the detail is outstanding.  I'll be trying to get my first print off the Canon iPF6400 this afternoon.
Anxious to see how it will turn out.

Of the three images, my favorite is the middle.  Beautiful and inviting sense to it.

Has a presence similar to what I feel when I see images that my favorite photographer did, Wynn Bullock.

the middle has something old fashion soft- but distinct contrast in it that you more often see with large format.
Usually i do not see any difference between MF and FF in web sized photos.
Also in this case i think it is the drawing of the lens and the development of the image  that makes the photo and not so much if it is MF or FF or else.
I think this mood could be well copied with the nikkor 45PCE, that has this kind of qualities.

I used the HC 100mm f2.2 at f2.8 which is, I feel, the sweet spot for this lens in terms of look/techniqual qualities ratio.

Also loved the 100mm T* back in my Hassie 500cm film and digital back on 500cm days!

Recently equaled, and in some ways slightly exceeded, by my new 23mm Fugi on the GFX!

The 100mm is real sweet indeed , but I must say I even prefer the Nikon 105mm f1.4.

The Fuji 23mm seems super nice too, i'll try yours when I drop by!

Grasses and Aspens Reflected - I am thinking to re-visit this little pond this autumn. I like the foreground of grasses against the autumn reflection of the aspen trees. The far shore of grasses framing the pond holds the viewers eye in the scene.
