That's nice Steven. A favorite type of subject for me.

From last night. Monsoon season has arrived in the high country.

I recently went to Banff National Park.  Here are a few images from Moraine Lake and Lake Louise.

Each image was taken when Phase One IQ3-100 and Rodenstock 32mm f4 HR Digaron-W.

I have titled this image Rejuvenation. The contrast of the new growth oak trees against the grasses and the burnt trees has an abstract feeling to it.

Beautiful, if a bit oversaturated on my NEC PA322UHD. Could be a web-caused color management issue.

Hi Jim

It was taken with a Horseman 617 with velvia 50 film. The film is more saturated than the posted image.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Gotcha. That was the look you were going for when you picked the film. It's very nice.

Thanks Jim. I picked the velvia film for the look, but also and more importantly the ability to do large enlargements. This image has been sold at 30" x 90".

This a "known" issue when viewing images on a 4K monitor with the Chrome browser. If you are using Chrome, try Safari to compare. I have consistently observed this with images I have edited on the NEC PA322UHD. They look fine in Photoshop, and then, boom, load them on my website and view with Chrome, and they look way too saturated.

There is a thin white halo at the top of the dome. It is very easy to fix. See this tutorial: Tutorial

He use a regular brush. I use the healing tool or stamp.

Hi Larry,

The Halo for me is part of the shot in this case as it was created by the reflected light from the top of the dome.  I assume that is what you refer to.  I preferred the glow.

It may have been bit accentuated by the compression to jpg and color space shift from prophoto to sRGB.

I may go back and tune it down a bit once I print it.

If there is outline halo around the top, that is for sure do to the jpg compression as there is none in the original.
