The H6D-100c is a really nice back and latest firmware makes it fully usable thanks to the 2 cards back up capability. Image quality is great.

Now, is it worth the extra money vs a D850, especially if you stitch? I would tend to say it isn’t. ;)

The Nikon lenses are overall better I feel, especially the 105mm and 19mm and the AF is so incredibly superior that you end up with better absolute image quality most of the time on moving subject, including people at open apertures. Of course the H6D-100c is splendid at f5.6.


Using the back on an Arca takes things to another level, but again that is only if you leave stitching out of the picture.

I would only upgrade to an H7D if it has an EVF.
