Ink strike on HP 6100 printer

Can anyone offer advice?

Our HP 6100 printer keeps splattering small ink spots on canvas as we print.  really frustrating and costly.

we have changed print heads, cleaned print heads of fluff etc.  what else can we do?

We have wondered if it is the canvas we are using, even thought he distributor assures us that "they sell lots of it and no one else has a problem like ours"!!

I had this printer before.
This is one of the most fastest 60" printer I have ever used.
But the thing is it only prints on anything that is around or under 260gsm paper.
I have tried Canvas on it, some of them can be printed but some of them can't even be loaded in.
And it doesn't cut canvas at all.

did you check the height setting on your printer?

Anyway, but this printer is not for canvas printing at all.
Sorry to say that but this is the reason why I like the Canon 9400 much more than this.

this printer certainly can print on canvas AND Photo rag paper up to 310gsm.  I know people will tell you that you cannot put 310gsm paper into this printer, but you can!!

We use these every day for printing.  it is just that we are using a cheaper canvas for a large job with a tight budget.  They thought we may be getting ink splashes being caused by some debris coming from the canvas.

However it appears our cleaning tray is too full and as the ink drops into this it is splashing onto the canvas.

We are working on this now.

I have seen beautiful prints from the z6200 on 305gsm paper.
