A sequence of an Osprey going for a pick. This is to show that in order to shoot these guys, even 1/4500th to 1/6000th of a second isn't always fast enough to catch all the action. It is a pretty exciting event:
They fly overhead around 150-200 feet up and Scope the area for a potential fish, then Hovering in a near stopped state, mark the prey, and begin the dive, first at high speed, a moment later Slowing enough to make a controlled Entry, and lastly, if lucky impale a nice fish dinner...or as in this case, Miss altogether.
