Colorport or Measuretool to generate targets?
« on: November 14, 2014, 07:29:08 pm »

Hello, been using the Measuretool 5 to generate my targets.

For example the Gray optimization target of 2502 patches fits on 3 sheets of A4 paper generated by Measuretool 0.68x0.68 patch size.

Same target fits on 3 pagres if generated by Colorport 2.0.5 too however patch size is limited to 0.75x0.75 why?

Measuretool file size is 2.75MB 822px x 1171px 101.6dpi
Colorport file size is 8.35Mb 1440px x 2024px 80dpi

AFAIK the 101.6 dpi is chosen for a reason, where the 80dpi is hmm?? I remember Atkinson targets used 203.2dpi.

The Colorport also adds these color patches of it's own, now that interferes with third party profiling software, why are these patches added. I don't want any extra patches in my measured files !
