Olympus E-M1 battery grip - useful?
« on: November 02, 2014, 12:01:49 pm »

I am finalizing my kit for our Japan trip that is coming up and was wondering if this would be a useful addition. I don't see the extra battery as a plus for me, given my shooting style, but does it really help with camera handing? I will be taking the Oly 12-60mm and 50-200 mm lenses, FWIW.

Yes it is very useful, especially with the 50-200. I never take mine off but then I consider my E-M1 to be my 'large' m4/3 camera with the 50-200 usually attached. If I want small I use my GX7.
