New Capture One 8 Tutorial
« on: October 09, 2014, 04:35:48 pm »

Will there be a new Capture One 8 tutorial coming out soon?  Also what workflow tutorials would you recommend if I now start with Capture One 8?

Thanks.

We plan to do an update to the Capture One 7 tutorial sometime in November.  Capture One 8 is really not much different than C1 7 other than offering some more features in Adjustment Layers and a few other interface adjustments.  The Capture One 7 tutorial will cover 90 plus percent of what C1 8 is all about.

Hi.  Do the current or future Capture One video tutorials cover the detail of making adjustments using the color wheel, especially when concerning skin tone?

Thanks for any information.

Yes, absolutely!

C1 has a unique and powerful tool for dealing with skin tone adjustments (Uniformity tool within Adjustment layers)  which will be of special interest to portrait, fashion and wedding photographers. Actually most of us need a little skin tone 'help' in portraits!

In Video #22 of the tutorial, David Grover deals specifically with this tool and other skin adjustment techniques to ably demonstrate the de-emphasis of 'less desirable' skin tones in a fashion shot.

Not really any news as such...still in planning ))

It is on our To Do list and an update to the existing tutorial will be done at some point. As Kevin pointed out above, there isn't really a huge amount to cover. I have been pointing similar enquiries to the Phase One Web site to view their videos on what's new in C1 8 with David Grover
