Sony A7R + Canon TSE + Anti-parallax Camera Shift ----> Rail question

Hey guys,
I am using a Sony A7R with the Canon TSE lenses for interior architecture photography.  More specifically, I shoot a three piece stitched horizontal shift for added width in the portrait orientation.  To eliminate any parallax between near and far objects in the interior I am shifting the camera the same/opposite amount as the lens shifts.  I use a Novoflex Castel L rail for this and wanted to add stops on each side to speed up the process a bit.

Hi Ken,

I don't know the Castel L rail well enough to see where one could try to add stops. The geared track makes it more challenging, but maybe something can be done on the inside of the U shape.

This is the technique I used to employ with the 24mm TSEII on my 5DII. I've since replaced the rail with a Pro P Solutions/Hartblei Shift Adapter for this lens. It attaches to the body of the 24mm and 17mm TSE lenses and allows the camera body to move rather than the lens = no parallax issues. A bit expensive but the best solution IMHO

Yes, I am aware of the product and I like the idea of it.  I am not one to penny pinch, but the cost of entry for that bracket is a bit steep for what it is.  I have considered it more than once.

I am wondering if there is some form of clamp that I can add to each side of the Novoflex rail.  I know I can fabricate something within the "U Shape", but I would really like to find something quick and easy to buy.

How about a couple of cheap C-clamps from a hardware store?  I have a plastic clamp that is much like a pair of pliers - just squeeze to open and apply where you want the camera to stop.

Good McGyver technique and I can do that.  I just wanted to see if there was anything that was commercially available that was a bit more streamlined.

Heck, a good machinist could crank these out for you for a couple hundred bucks - or so.

The Hejnar stops fit standard Arca=Swiss dovetail and should clamp to between 35 and 38mm width.

Me again:  I have an Acratech ballhead with the quick release clamp (A/S compatible), and it has no stops either, but is marked in millimeters (as is the lens);  I slide the body the same but opposite value as the lens shift by noting the starting point and adding/subtracting on the scale.  It's not as quick as having a stop but it works.
