Hasselblad 203FE adjustment buttons?

Hi, I recently got a 203FE and I use it in automatic mode. As far I understand the manual I should be able to increase/decrease the calculated shutter speed by pressing the adjustment buttons (+/-). But when I press them nothing happens at all. Is that normal? Am I doing something wrong?
