This may be a silly question...but does one generally use protective filters for Cine Primes? I'm considering adding a couple Canon CN-E Primes to my kit, and so I'm looking for the usual accessories to go along with.
I was curious if a protective UV filter was used, or even considered, for a cine prime...and not necessarily just focusing on the CN-E primes. I'm not sure the Canon cine primes have a traditional filter thread anyway. But whereas I always use one for my still's glass, it's never really mentioned with regards to cine primes.
I know things are generally run through a matte box, but I rarely use one for my run and gun stuff. But I am adding a matte box set up very soon.
Thanks guys. Have a great weekend!
