Museo artist cards skewing in 3880

I have been using Museo square cards for a few years. Recently, it seems that they are much more susceptible to skewing. This happened on a 3800 and a 3880.  If I put a stack of them in the sheet feeder, there is less skewing but it still happens. On a small card like this, it is very obvious I suspect that I am not the only person with the problem. I would love to hear any suggestions on how to avoid it.

I've got two 3880's and they both skew odd at times.

I can put a square on the feed tray against the paper to make sure it is square in feeding, but once it grabs it, it might twist it off skew a bit - or not.  My only solution is to feed it at a slight angle that I know might be better.  On one, I wrapped some electrical tape around the flip-down post (It was found on dpreview for a while) on the pull-up feed tray to tilt the paper to the left a bit and it picks it up better without the skew issue.  The other has a bit of a molding issue with the external pop-in rear feed tray and the skew is off on it almost always.  If I switch it with the other's tray, it works better.

Just the nature of the beasts.  Even with two of the same model, they have very different personalities.  Even ICC profiles are a bit different between them too which is maddening.

A common problem, and over time can be exacerbated by paper dust build up on the feed rollers. Using rubber roller cleaning solution on the rollers you can get to might help, also  running a cleaning sheet through the printer might help.

Thanks Wayne and SG. I was hoping that a new 3880 would solve the problem. I think that the solution will be to use a different, heavier paper. I have used IGFS in the past and it worked perfectly. I have tried putting the Museo paper in a dehumidifier as I thought that it might be the humidity but it isn't consistent. A few years back, it was rarely an issue.
