Here's another one from Death Valley (Eureka Sand Dunes).

My initial reaction (from the gut) was "Too central". But after taking a moment with the photograph, I realized,"It works!"

Film or film plugin? The colors remind me of fujifilm.

I like the image. The dark background breaks up the symmetry a bit. I find myself wondering if you were going for a yin-yang balance. Maybe using the shadow with the bush to balance the blue mountains would also work. It make me keep looking at the image which is a compliment to it I think.
