Westfjords, Iceland.
« on: July 17, 2014, 05:32:29 pm »

This shot was just around the corner from Dynjandi (the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland).  I liked the stillness of the fjords and the sky was fairly interesting.

This was a fairly wet camping trip, but absolutely stunning in so many ways.

Burned onto my sensor with the Magic Cloth Technique

Eerie and very interesting.
The highlights on the grass are very disturbing but the image is very powerful. I found myself looking for a Viking longship entering the fjord.

My question then becomes is the “Magic Cloth Technique” better than HDR??

What a wonderful image. I find myself wondering how was that rock broken? Was it split by lightning perhaps? It speaks volumes about a primeval world and forces no longer common.

Great photo but for me, the top is a bit too dark (too much magic, maybe  ;).

The sword was pulled out.
