The Sure color series is more for vinyl and signage not for fine art. Epson's focus lately has been on solvent printers and they have made some great improvements on these units. Just too much for me to make the initial investment and they only work on solvent prep'd media, so all current fine art papers will not work.
Hopefully Epson will come around eventually and figure out a head, that will improve the following;
1. Gloss differential (which on the 9900 on most glossy papers is very troublesome)
2. Better control of Edit bronzing ( very evident on Canson Platine with blues when prints are held to light and you move the print, you can see a red shift to the blues)
3. Head design that will allow for no need to switch inks for PK and MK
4. Improved ink flow control (to eliminate the 100% losses of individual color channels especially after PK to MK or MK to PK switching)
Note, all of these are nits, as the 9900 in general has been an excellent printer for my business.
