Disabling 'Check Disk' for faster IQ startup?

I have got a bit frustrated with the slow startup of my IQ180 from cold - when it has a 64Gb CF card in there it can take nearly 10 seconds, which is a lot to loose in many situations. 

If I disable 'check disk' fromt he menu sytem, it is quite a bit faster, but is there any issue with this, assuming I use dedicated cards formatted in the same back?
