T-shirt transfer paper
« on: April 24, 2014, 05:25:29 pm »

Hi all -

Can anyone recommend a quality inkjet t-shirt transfer paper?  I hope that's not an oxymoron.  I have a friend that wants to do a few test t-shirts before he goes to a proper t-shirt printing house.

What kind of printer?

A popular one is the Beaver texprint XP HR paper.  If you have a ricoh you will need the texprint-R

A simple google search will get you some good results where you can price around the different sizes.

2880 for Dye Sub?
If you just have pigment inks in the 2880 they do sell papers to transfer to a cotton shirt.
It is not the same as the dye sub on polyester that your printing company will no doubt use.
Not sure what you are trying to do but if you do not have a dye sub printer and heat press I would leave the whole process to them.
I would call Conde Systems as they can suggest the proper paper that you can purchase from them.
Maybe a little more info?

Take a look at Sihl T-Printz. It only comes in rolls though so you would have to cut it down
