I have a set of still life stuff I'm working on printing which are all pretty dark, most info in the shadows. I've ran some prints and the colors are decent but it's like there's a dull cast over everything. Pretty similar to what an image looks like on screen when you're soft-proofing and have "show paper white" selected (but not THAT bad). I've never really figured out how to properly compensate for that... When I spray them, they will look better, but any tips on what I might be doing during soft-proofing to punch them up a little without messing with colors too much. Or is this just the way it is with matte canvas? Everything looks good on photo papers.
