Subscription based website templates?

Do templates exist that allow me to build a website that will require members to log in to view photographic content. I'm not sure if my idea will work so trying to avoid accruing massive web designer costs to begin with.

This is done quite easily with WordPress using free plugins.

I thought I needed to understand code to build a Wordpress site, can a total novice do it?

No code needed with WordPress (WP) although you can use some code if you want/need to customize your site. Tons of great information, tutorials and instructions by searching for "build a WordPress website" on YouTube. Here is a link which might get you started. WP websites make extensive use of plug-ins to accomplish almost any task such as visitor or user log-ins. There is a learning curve but no coding is required.    - Jim
