Crop tool
« on: January 29, 2014, 12:09:47 pm »

A new user question here - in Lightroom 5, is there a way to crop the image while viewing it at 100% (as you can in ACR)? - I often need to position the edge of the crop very precisely, and Lightroom always reverts to 'fit' or 'fill' view as soon as the crop tool is selected

Thanks,
Alex

No, which is a shame.

I agree it is a shame.

Hint for Adobe: In next release, allow us to crop at 100% by holding down (say) the Alt key while selecting the crop tool. Shouldn't be difficult.

The best you can do is collapse all panels [Shift][Tab], turn off the tool bar [T], and go to Full Screen Edit mode [Shift][F]x2. This will give you the maximum size view for cropping.
