Just for fun, Another Devil's Golf Course

This one just after sunset - thought it would be neat compare to Rajan's great shot and see two distinctly different treatments and times of day.

Lots of good elements here, James, I like it. Might have been a bit more powerful if you had been able to include a foreground without the gap, that was the same as the rest of the "golfcourse".

I struggled with that very question.  In the end, I thought the gap added some differentiation to the foreground that I liked, but I can definitely see your point as well.  Thanks for the input!

Actually the gap is what makes it!

Otherwise it would have been a boring colorful ARAT image.
This way, with its few elements it raises a question, something is missing -
you ask "What was there? Why this gap?" (Would surely be a place for Robs Coke bottles)
and you feel a little uneasy or irritated looking at it.

Much better.

I agree with Christoph. Perfection is overrated. Plus this version emphasizes the roughness of the course.
