It was in proper Monterey Bay, I think between Carmel and Point Lobos.

The first one, sunlight on a polished table, is wonderfully minimalist. I love it.
The second one has more textures and, for me, is less abstract and doesn't let my imagination play as much as the first shot.
Well done for both!

Careful Francois. Stay back you might get burned. This is more approachable. Less fiery, more abstract.

Less fiery, but wonderful just the same.

At first glance, I thought the amber strands in the background might be tortured, unrolled film.

That's good Arlen. Tortured film! I saw a video in which the photographer stated we should let the viewer make his own interpretation of the scene. So I am not going to tell.

Is the "Tortured Film" high on meth?

Really great, wild image.

Where would any of us be without our very own "tortured" sensibiliites 8) They produce rather nice images if I do say so myself. But I am quite frankly leaning more and more to less tortured on the whole.
