Another good one, John -- that can fairly be called an abstract.
Yes it can. Excellent.

Yes it can. Excellent.
Thanks again. Another take. As I said one could easily frame some subjects many ways.

Who was riding in that small boat just about to go over the falls?

It's Monet without his glasses trying to tell Manet everything is just fine - come on in!

Good shooting, John. The last one is more than abstract. It's mysterious.

In that case, I will continue the mystery with this variation on a theme so to speak. Thanks Russ and Eric.

I've been experimenting with b/w macros aiming towards high key abstracts. It's still a work in progress, but here is a recent set. Please feel free to leave your thoughts, and thanks for stopping by. - Bob

Just one I played with and can't recall where it was taken. Reminds me of fire, even though the colours are not the same.

Here's a new one from the side of the road when I was chasing the fall color on the back side of the Sierra Nevada a week ago. In some ways, it was the best "find" of the day since the skies were smokey and many of the trees just turning from green to yellow.

John, your best shots occur when your lens and camera are functioning properly.

John, it must be that HCB never shot a blurry photo, even though all of his were hand-held.   ;D

Now there's an abstract, Larry.

We went through this already. Semi abstract and impressions are abstract enough. 8) That image was actually composed of multiple exposures. Now this one is a combination of the two.
