+1 to both points!
Thanks Peter and Eric. I never thought I would like the images from my phone, but I do. In fact I am going to buy a decent holder because that is one area where cell phones are lacking. Tapping your phone and still getting reasonably sharp images is dicey at best. Peter, I think your observation is well stated. Seeing the world through such a large and clear "finder" can not be overstated. For me it is a kind of awakening, like the first time I looked through the viewfinder of medium format camera.

From my brother's new apartment. Taken with my cell phone. All he had to say, was, 'Oh, I see'. He is very interested because he has now taken up photography as well. One of the things I really like about this image, is the secondary subtle lighting on the radiator.

Overexposed an experiment but before I send it to the trash I came up with this.

I like this, Armand.

I like this, Armand.

Thank you! It was supposed to look like this: https://forum.luminous-landscape.com/index.php?topic=127319.msg1076747#msg1076747

It's a long exposure at 30s during which I used a flashlight to lit it from the sides, at the ground level.

It's as if the wind blows on a moody autumn day.

I really took to these Temples. The bw shapes created by the sun and shadows made for endless possibilities.

I quite enjoy the idea of catching three different dimensions at once, and thus making a fourth. Oh well, it keeps the computer warmed up and the belief that one is getting one's money's worth in a kinda roundabout way.

From the temple that keeps on giving. I decided to consolidate these and post in one post so people can see how interesting this temple is.

John, I think that temple exists only in your fertile imagination!
Fascinating.

Thank you Eric. I think I will show one last colour version of the Temple. Harsh sunlight sometimes makes for interesting bold and dense shapes and colors.

Nice find - but if it was mine I'd process it hard and make it brutal to focus on the shapes, the hell with the colours :)

I see your flaky paint and raise with my weird bark.

Which isn't processed quite right.

Mike :)

Thanks Mike. Are you referring to the red paint chips? If so, sometimes I will exaggerate to bring the effect or look. I should have used LR for PP as it has black and white point settings, whereas Elements is very basic.

It looks pretty good to me. Nice dense golden browns, well defined shapes in the overall design pattern.

I ran out of "real abstracts", if that matters anymore. So here is one whose subject matter is obvious, but I think has quirky abstractness to it.

Yes the red fakes. Give a roughing up in Nik which is I think once again free?
