You guys have been really busy posting new images to this thread since I last checked a week ago. And every one of them is first rate. Bravo to each of you!

Didn't realize there was so much interest in abstract images.  Be careful what you ask for.  I'm reminded of the response of an old guy, accosted by a pollster inquiring who he preferred in an upcoming election: "Oh, I never vote.  It only encourages them."

Amber Waves

Backstory: this is a focus-stacked macro of a plastic mesh "sock" (that's the most accurate term that comes to mind) which enclosed a small electronic appliance that was recently shipped to me.

Amber waves is quite nice. But the momentum is on, so the show must go on...

What can I say, sometimes shapes like to tango/tangle in the sun.

The diagonal line on the right gives a 3D effect that I like very much. These squares/rectangles/triangles form a good collection of basic geometric shapes.

Great capture of a stealth aircraft in flight.

Off the Grid

I like it a lot but after a minute or two, the zigzags make my brain overheat (granted, some days, it doesn't take much)!
Bravo.

That's exactly the reaction I was aiming for!

Not getting in the middle of that fencing match-phew 8)

Something a little tame and whimsical.
