Thanks for the comments Eric and Chuck. I try to take advantage of every new snowfall before people trod on the hills. Dan here seems to have an endless supply of excellent frost patterns. I believe last year he also showed us some wonderful samples.

Amen! We've had some frosty windows lately, but none in Dan's league.

Thanks guys. I took some last year but nothing turn out well. The b&w image was taken in my shed back in 2007. It is a small pattern, about an inch across. The shed hasn't produced such patterns since.
I thought the frost images would be good sellers but they turned out not to be. The few people that did show interest in them were very enthusiastic though.

I'm trying to learn how to do effective bw conversions, and maybe I will try split toning as well. The effects I have seen can be quite good.

"I Changed My Mind"

I'm not sure this one qualifies as an abstract.  Perhaps an abstracted story?  Anyway I find it amusing.

I'd call it abstract, with just a nod toward "Street."
Nice.

Well, it depends on your imagination. For me, it works and I like it.

While I am enjoying looking at the recent posts of snow scenes and ice sculptures, I decided that I needed to spend sometime catching up on my own personal work. These are a few taken last summer at a spot NW of Toronto and a short drive from my home in SW Ontario.

Overall, I like how the red limestone (it's not been super-saturated) is shown in these, I also like the B&W versions of some of the images.

Taken with:
D3x using a 17-35mm @f11
No filters used
Processed with CaptureONE v8.1
3rd party B&W styles.
