Essence of whitetail.  I rather like it.

Went out today and noticed the camera had a hard time focusing in the snow. But my eyes were not much better. I took this shot and notices that it is not all in focus, but I like it and can live with it.

In the same vein as the splendid water movement of MattNQ, I have another kind of implied movement in the snow. My snow images are coming out really soft. So I think it is the inability of sensor to handle white of snow combined with so much bouncing spectral light. I think I will try a polarizer to see if there is difference.

The softness doesn't spoil it at all for me, John. It's lovely.

It has a nice feel to it John. If anything, the softness enhances the subdued tones.

This is  smooth and I like the "flow" of those curves; there's a sense of speed!

Thanks for the comments. I developed one more, this time with a more graphic representation.

Some years ago I was hiking along the still young Danube in southern Germany.  Weather was great as well as the light.  I enjoyed an hour of rest and photography along the shore.  Especially the colors, reflected in the river, caught my eye.

Maybe you see a panther's head too.  I like tree bark.

This is more like a landscape, as you can see the wind whipping the snow around. It was great to watch.
