Wind, nothing.  COLD.  :)

Excellent images.  Especially the shed with the poor, lonely car.

I can't imagine how you shot those and you're still here, alive to post them.

Thanks!

Marvellous!  My pick is the third one, the wind-swept road.

#2 and #3, especially #3.
But #2 is special in an interesting way.
#1 doesn't tell me much.
Cheers

Scott, I believe you now have enough material for an excellent book of prairie images, or a gallery show.

Another fine set Scott!  I like them all.  If I had to choose I'd say #1 for rekindling memories and #3 for the graphic qualities.

I love #3 but #2, although different, is not far behind. This set of image makes me grab my down parka.

Bravo, Scott!

Thanks to all for the feedback, everyone. Glad you liked them.

I'll keep on accumulating images while I learn more about printing.

Since you asked for comments, I would like to see the first and last combined - say the barn/garage off to the side of the windswept road.  After I saw that I might change my mind, but at the moment I think it would help the viewer recognize the wind blowing the snow across the road and the cold harshness of the car in the garage (which by itself doesn't tell much of the story - I think).

Thanks, Tom. I agree that the garage shot doesn't exactly scream "wind". So I added a couple of hints, giving the set a title, and choosing the road shot to help convey the idea. Hopefully it would have some interest even without the wind.

As for combining in composition, I am frequently torn between adding more in and leaving stuff out. I find that images with a clear subject tend to be well-received. And a little ambiguity (the blowing snow in this case) can help get the viewer engaged.
