The bottom half appears overexposed and washed out. I simple gradient in post would solve it. Otherwise, an impressive rock formation.

I have to agree with Slobodan about the base of that formation.
The funny thing is that it looks huge on the photo but it's really only approx. 2-3 meter high.

Great composition to give it such a 'big' feel in the frame, despite it only being 2/3m :-)

I might want to print it up in 20 x 30 or 24 x 36 and I thought it would look good that way.

It would look more massive.

For a Hobbit like me 2-3 meters high is a skyscraper! :)

Perhaps that's the way the actual scene looked? That's how I saw the photo. I like it, and would probably have "processed" it the same way.

Peter-

It was.

As I tried to explain we did not arrive at our destination at the prescribed time due to being lost.

When we did we had to take the light that was available.

It is too cold to camp out there at this time of year.

I plan on returning. The next time conditions might be more favorable.

I like the composition - kind of like kind of like stacking blocks.  I could spend weeks out there exploring.  I did stay at the campground just outside the Wave for a week during a chilli December.  Let's just say we went to bed quite early.

Hank-

Hope you also had long johns and a good sleeping bag.

:)

The area is full of potential.

Next time I'm going to try for the South Teepees as well.
