C1v6-32bit and -TIF vs IIQ
« on: December 22, 2013, 05:40:33 pm »

I noticed in a 32bit OS/WinXP, C1v6 really struggles to work on my system. Everything is slow.
Perhaps it's my system having 4GB ram, so I use the older version 3.710 which works flawlessly.

My question is regarding formats. I have the option of saving files in TIF raw and IIQ raw.  Is there anywhere I can read up on the differences of these 2 formats?
I think one or the other files(tif/iiq) get written faster during shooting.  I notice that iiq(I think only this format) needs to set black layer (?)point while transferring file. Or at least it takes long enough for me to see this notice.

Anyone know the differences in processing?  One thing I like about Tif format is that some other DAM's like ACDSee CAN build a preview of the file, while in iiq, it cannot.
(I'm also wondering if this TIF format allows other Raw Dev programs like DxO etc, the ability to process)

This is regarding a P25 file.
