The Apple Store AccuRaw description looks interesting especially in regards to "color accuracy" and avoidance of "Hollywood Colors".

The User's Manual on that page's Support link (takes you to a Google page) has some intriguing info on Processing Options for Scene Referred/Highlight Recovery...

Quote
Scene Referred. Raw images are usually processed with a tone curve that mimics human vision (for example, see "General-Purpose Gamut-Mapping Algorithms: Evaluation of contrast-Preserving Rescaling Functions for Color Gamut Mapping", Gustav J. Braun and Mark D. Fairchild). However this default can be overridden by deselecting "Scene Referred".

Are there before and after sample renderings to get an indication how "accurate" this Raw converter renders color and tone?

I really hope they add support for the Sigma Merrills.

Not on the development path, so not likely to happen, I'm afraid. Sorry.

Sandy will release an update in the next two weeks.  I found a small problem or two and it will be fixed.

Version 2.1 will be out in a few weeks - it will indeed fix a few bugs, but will also add workflow integration with Aperture and Lightroom; you will be able to use AccuRaw (and it's monochrome optimized cousin, AccuRaw Monochrome) as an "external editor"

In line with our recent discussion, and maybe not in 2.1, but could the "Manage Presets" have the capability to delist, but not delete, in addition. What about sets of presets, copy/paste or duplicate, and any other management tools in there? I can imagine hordes of presets in use by serious users.

Definitely not in 2.1 - that's with Apple already, but duplicate, etc would be handy, I agree. I'll see what I can do for Version 2.2

Accuraw is a good app and making Manage Presets a full file handling tool for presets I think would make it attractive to heavy users.

Any chance for a Windows version in the near future?

Sorry, but no, not in the near future.
