Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris

Antique presets are always a temptation, but maybe in this case "pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates."

Boy, great timing! Nice image. I'll bet the shadows were moving quickly. Early or late?

About 9.30am in early January.  I really must return, properly to exploit those fleeting shadows.

I agree: The Nosferatu shadows really make it ...

Now I've got to fiddle with it to get more Nosferatu:

Not an improvement, in my view. The first was very good.

Second edit is a bit too noir for me but I agree a return trip to exploit those shadows is definitely in order.

I'd stick with the original.  Given the setting, those 'fingers of time' reaching out and enclosing everything are most apt.

Excellent shot, but not so sure if the grungy border really adds anything to it, but the image composition, subject and processing are excellent.

It doesn't. You're right.

I understand what you mean, but for me (purely subjectively) thats just the point which makes the difference.
"Film noir stills" - no idea if that genre exists in photography, but this image would be a good example I think.

The shadow is just a little less obvious in the first version, leading to discovery by the viewer. More effective than overplaying it in the second version IMO.
Well captured.
