Help with a Mamiya medium format cameras comparison article
« on: October 27, 2013, 09:09:40 pm »

Hey guys, I'm working on an article comparing the various Mamiya 645 cameras that have been made. I'm currently at the point of sifting through all of their tech specs to come up with a chart the helps to show how they perform in various categories of their tech specs, and I was wondering if you guys could help me come up with a decent list of categories that should be included. I found basically all of the manuals older manuals online, and also have tech specs from cached B&H pages, and camerapedia but help with ideas for categories, camera release dates, and any thoughts on some of the older models, or say differences between AFD's would be greatly appreciated. Also in case anyone is ever looking for them here are a bunch of links to some of the manuals online.

I thought Mamiya has just been making the exact same camera for decades...

Um no.....as you can see there were/are many different camera models, although some of them have only slight variations in features like the M645, M645J and M645 1000s are all very similar with only slight differences in certain parts of their performance. You might be getting them confused with the RB/RZ67 series of camera, but I believe even these have gone through multiple versions with different features even if they have remained aesthetically very similar....
