ACR 3.7 Shadow warning question.
« on: September 29, 2013, 07:40:59 am »

Hi, forgive me for asking a question on a now rather old version but its what I use so please bear with me.

If I switch on Shadow Warning with the image at 'Fit to view' (which for me is about 20%) I get some blue shadow warning indicators show up. If I then zoom into those areas the blue indicators disappear, so when I am at say 50% (or greater) I get no blue warning indicators at all.
This does seem to happen if the shadows are close, or touching, the left of the histogram - if I force really bad clipping then it does not happen as badly, though in some areas the blue indicators do still disappear the more you zoom in.

This somewhat confuses me and makes me sceptical about the warning.

Highlight warnings (red) do not seem to be a problem.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Why not update to the newest version?
