The 70D sounds like a great camera for video shooters but, if DxO Mark is to be believed, it seems that Canon still hasn't decided to invest in what matters for still photographers from a sensor standpoint:

Disappointing for a company that took big risks for advanced technology in the past, EOS lenses, CMOS sensors, I love Canon but nothing is forever, Nikon had a slump a few years back so maybe someone at Canon will "wake up"
