Sub. for Inkpress Warmtone Baryta Fiber Paper
« on: August 26, 2013, 12:01:50 am »

I'm not sure about the name but I guess you guys know which paper I'm talking about.
Actually there is a client asking me about the Shil 3523 baryta photo paper, 290gsm, and I saw that this paper is the same as the inkpress one. I haven't use inkpress paper for decades already, also couldn't find the info from Ernst spectrum viz plot.

Can someone tell me which paper would be the best for it substitute?

Thanks
aaron

Sorry, no Inkpress sheets to measure here.
I had a contact with an Inkpress paper user who would send me a samplebook I think but never received it.
For that matter samples of Cone Studio Paper Type 5, Breathing Color Pura Smooth Paper, would be nice too. There are more omissions.....

Ernst, how much paper do you need to add a sample to SpectrumViz? I have some Breathing Color Pura Velvet if you are interested.

Two A4 sheets if I get to adding Dmax numbers too. An A6 sheet if it is only for the spectral plot.

Could you work with 2 US Letter size (8.5 x 11 inches)?

Brian, today your two sheets of Breathing Color Pura Velvet arrived. Thank you. Will measure them this week and add them to the list. Cotton paper, light texture, is probably the best category to add that paper to.

Edit: Breathing Color Pura Velvet is added to SpectrumViz

Thanks Ernst, sorry it took so long to get it together. I was hit by a BC rep today, who sold me a trial roll of Pura Smooth, but unfortunately I got an email back an hour later saying they where out of stock. If I go ahead with the roll, I will send you a couple of sheets of that too. The smooth, no OBA paper is really of more interest to me.

They also tried to sell me a trial roll of their OBA free baryta, and I would be interested in that, but I have a surplus of bayrtas at the moment, so I declined the offer.
