Tough call. Lots of people can't even give enlargers away. The lenses can be worth a little bit, but trying to get much value out of the kit is going to be tough. Too many people have gone to a digital darkroom, even the film shooters.  My gut reaction says that someone might be willing to pay $750ish to get a nice fully functional darkroom, but I'm guessing that's a lot less than you were expecting.

I'd try posting it for sale at APUG or Large Format Photography Forum, since that's where most of the traditional guys hang out. I've seen some kits there posted in the $1k to $1500 range, but unfortunately they didn't sell. Try for a local sale there, and don't forget to post it to Craigslist to see if you can get a starving artist or college student to buy. Unfortunately shipping would be a deal killer.

If you can't sell the kit, then sell just the lenses on ebay, and donate the rest to a school with a photography dept for a tax write off.

As stated before, the large format and the APUG for sale forums are the perfect places to sell this gear.   You may not get as much as you want, but i find 4x5 darkroom gear does indeed sell.  Lots of guys looking to get into large format film or alternative processing.

good luck

Higher prices LF enlargers won't sell unless you find a crazy person.

Got a beautiful $5000 Durst enlarger a short time ago for under $300. Always wanted one, could never afford one until now. Sad part for sellers is that so many enlargers are available for "can you get this junk out of my basement" deals that sale prices are low. Great for buyers tho.

Good luck with the sale.

Specify your general location (state, at least) if you want to sell to pick-up-in-person customers. I might be interested if the equipment is within 100 miles of St. Louis MO

Hi,
Just noticed you are selling your darkroom equipment but your post was dated in August 2013. Do you still have the equipment? Is it stll for sale? I am a graduate photography student considering creating my own darkroom. Please let me know if you are still selling and for what price.

All the Best,
Patrick Wright aka Gandalf the Wright
