Or don't and use an IR blocking filter on the lens when you don't want IR. That way you have IR when you want it and true monochrome when you want it.
if you can dismount sensor assembly you can as well put into a sequence of solvents (CFA are in most cases organic)... outside, poison danger, watch for sparks.
What kind of solvents. By dismount the sensor assembly, how far are you talking? If you look at the videos, the sensors have been taken out of the cameras, but all the wiring is still intact. Not sure it would be possible to go much further than that.
Didn't know Maxmax was doing monochrome conversions. Thought they just did IR/UV.
