Or should I say when do we use DL profile?
I use RGB printer driver most of the time for my fine art clients.
But when it comes to commercial job, sometimes I don't get the color as my client wants,
such as Chinese RED which is 100% M and Y.
As I remember, when CMYK file goes to the printer, it will go through the conversion process which will go through the L*ab space then back into the CMYK printer profile. I think that's the time the color has been converted. So if I use the DL profile, would it bypass that and help me to preserve 100% M and Y for the final output?
p.s. I have Wasatch RIP and i1Profiler which now can make DL profile.
Thanks
