mackbook pro advice
« on: June 10, 2013, 06:23:28 am »

I have bought a new MBP with 500gig hard drive.  This is not really enough space for my work applications and all of my photos (mainly family and hobby photos).  I can see two scenario's.  1.  where I copy the photos I'm working on to the MBP and then back to an external HDD.  2.  Where I have external storage that is fast enough to allow me to edit images whilst the file essentially remains on the external Hdd.  I would prefer the second option.  Is it practical or technically possible?? if so, what is the way to do it?? time capsule, thunderbolt HDD? or usb 3.

Thankyou for any advice

I use a Thunderbolt external drive for my MacBook Pro Retina and find that it's extremely fast.
